When it comes to design and decor, beloved brands and top retailers are moving forward to fall as soon as July 4th has come and gone. The patio furniture goes on sale and the fall previews hit the catalogs. While we at Decoist believe in soaking up every last bit of summer, we also love reveling in design trends and pre-fall style! That’s why today we’re featuring some of our favorite new finds from today’s leading brands and retailers. Not only do these beautifully photographed images serve as design inspiration, they give us a glimpse of fall’s top trends! Consider this our little fall preview. Enjoy…

Relaxed Decadence

There’s something luxe about the new fall decor. And we’re loving it! But instead of being ultra-glam and unattainable, this new style is relaxed. CB2 is pioneering the look in full force with its declaration of “laid-back luxe” style. Yes, that exact term is in their Pre-fall 2016 catalog. Here’s a sneak peek of the look in all of its breezy, gilded glory:

Some of the decadence is created by furnishings with metal detailing, as shown by CB2’s Brass Inlay Cabinet. The vignette below is the ultimate in relaxed luxe…cocktails, anyone?!

The beauty of brass inlay can also be seen on CB2’s new Recluse Desk, designed by Louis Filosa. Side note: check out the painted wall behind the desk. Is dusty rose this season’s new pink?!

Clean lines keep luxe furnishings from being heavy or overbearing. The Durham Rectangular Coffee Table from Pottery Barn is crafted from kiln-dried reclaimed pine resting on a polished metal frame:

West Elm’s Geo Hex Side Table in Slate creates a low key look with slate veneer and a metal base. The table’s hexagonal form channels the simplicity of modern geo style, yet the antique brass finish provides a dose of luxury:

The Explosion Chandelier from Pottery Barn offsets its golden shine with a sleek design that evokes retro flair. Glam style, minus the formality!

Crate & Barrel’s Copper Wall Clock combines a minimalist design with a rosy copper shine. The perfect blend of decadence and simplicity:

Throwback Leather

There’s a lot of leather in the new fall lineup, and many pieces channel retro style. Ridges reign on CB2’s Cupa Leather Chair, designed by Jannis Ellenberger. A brass base helps create a Midcentury vibe:

Crate & Barrel’s Cooper Armless Leather Chair blends caramel leather with a brushed stainless steel frame for a modern statement that hints at the past:

Soothing Hues

The colors that pop up in this season’s fall previews are neither ultra bold nor ultra boring. Gone are the stereotypical autumn hues of mustard, olive and rust. Instead, soothing colors going strong, often in exciting combinations. CB2’s Analog 18″ by 12″ Pillow welcomes shades of mint, teal, peach and grey:

Let’s hear it for CB2, a brand that is quick to note the latest trends and bring them to us at an affordable price. Below you’ll find a couple of our favorites…which we predict will be in high demand this season. Iridescence has fully captivated design lovers, and this Beta Flatware is the perfect blend of dreamy style and budget-friendly flair:

Graphic Design

Dark lines on white backgrounds. There’s nowhere like rugs for this linear, graphic style to flourish! But many of the top sellers are becoming trite. Thank goodness CB2 has introduced some new designs, like this Line Work Rug:
