How big a role does music really play in your life? While many of us spend endless hours hooked to our iPods, most of our decorating choices influenced by music probably end with a few posters, a guitar on the wall or a piano in the living room. But a couple in complete love with Blues decided that their entire house would be shaped by this obsession, and the Black House Blues is a result of that undying love! Crafted by Studija Archispektras, the gorgeous modern home is located in a tiny village called Kulautuva in Lithuania and is surrounded by a lush green forest. Yet, it is the home’s unique exterior that ends up stealing the show.
The elegant forest house has a distinctly contemporary appeal, and even though the exterior is draped in black, the interior presents a contrasting white picture. A large living area with a smart mezzanine level is at the heart of the residence, with minimal decor and warm wooden surfaces adding character and personality to the setting. A small dining area in the corner with Eames Molded Plastic Chairs in white and a kitchen visually connected with the landscape outside complete the lower level. A large wooden deck outside offers a cool sitting area that allows the homeowners to enjoy the relaxed ambiance while their favorite blues tunes stream out of the house.
The design of the Black House Blues and its remote location allows the residents to play their favorite tracks loudly, while the large living area integrated with the top level lets them enjoy the songs from every corner of the home. A perfect retreat set in a tranquil backdrop!
