Dynamic, colorful and refined; these are the words that come to mind the moment you take a look at the new headquarters of Beats by Dre in Culver City, California. Spread across 105,000 square feet, the headquarters brings together three different elements of the company’s operations. Crafted with ingenuity and great care by Los Angeles-based Bestor Architecture, the gorgeous new headquarters moves away from the current trend of industrial chic offices that borrow from the college campus style of California. In fact, Beats wanted the interiors to reflect elegance, sophistication and a quality that people expect from their own products.
The entire headquarters is divided into three different buildings, with ‘Building A’ comprised of the sales, marketing, finance, and administration units that feature beautiful lounge areas, colorful reception areas and communal work spaces. ‘Building B’ is the hub of social activity that brings the employees together, thanks to the mixing studio, café, gym, and the swing space. ‘Building C’ is home to the cutting-edge acoustical testing lab of Beats, along with the engineering and developing hubs. All three areas are interconnected seamlessly to accommodate the sharing of ideas and easy interaction.
All the office spaces have a very natural appeal, with wood adding inviting warmth to the interior. Ample ventilation and sculptural lighting additions bring out the very best of the colorful additions, while smart metallic accents and environmental graphics make the entire headquarters even more exciting. Private spaces were kept to a minimum, and open-plan zones were effortlessly combined with co-working zones.
Exquisite and urbane, the Beats headquarters boasts a touch of class that one tends to associate with their headphones and audio devices. A perfect fit indeed!
