South East Asia is indeed offering up some amazing interiors in the last few years. With designers in the region combining a beautiful sense of semi-minimalism with soothing ambiance most modern homes tend to exude a Zen-like atmosphere. The Vale is a residential project in the heart of Sutera Damansara, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the interiors of these ‘nature-inspired’ homes combine gorgeous form with flowing functionality. Designed by Blu Water Studio, these residences offer a fresh and almost flamboyant take on modern design!
While an initial glimpse will lead you to believe that these homes are pretty much like most other contemporary residences that employ neutral shades and stylish décor, a closer look throws out quite a few surprises. There is lovely addition of green throughout with nature making its presence felt in every room in the form of small potted plants, flowers and floor vases.
While the walls and the flooring largely embrace muted tones such as white and gray, pendant lighting and interesting art work bring in some much needed vivid contrast. While some modern homes tend to be a bit too bland, the lovely and striking addition of subtle color in the bedrooms in the form of turquoise colored fabric and striped cushion covers ensures that The Vale does not go down the same path.
Lighting pretty much steals the show in this housing project as multiple layers combine to bring in the perfect illumination. From large sliding glass doors that offer ample natural ventilation to pendant lights that double up as art installations, lighting pretty much elevates the look of the trendy residence. Sophisticated, rich and relaxing, this project showcases perfect balance between style and substance! [spotted on: contemporist]
