It is the age of recycling and reuse and with growing Eco-consciousness in both business houses and in consumers, going ‘green’ has become more than just a choice. It adds to your brand value and gives the product a seemingly moral high ground, irrespective of what the intentions are. Of course, not all have the luxury of choice when it comes to running their business. And Jon Darsky, decided to go mobile with his Pizza business in refurbished style as he used an old shipping container that was fitted onto a heavy-duty delivery truck to create ‘Del Popolo’.
The makeover though did not come all that cheap as Jon had to shell out $ 180,000 to turn the old shipping container into a transparent and mobile pizza house. The most attractive aspect of the entire design is obviously the wonderful use of glass and how the transparent glass wall and doors showcase the working of the kitchen inside. That should pretty much leave no doubts about the hygiene standards inside!
The large traditional Italian wood-fired oven occupies a third of the space inside and can dish out a pizza every minute and of course the wheels ensure that Del Popolo can pretty much go wherever business demand … delicacy delivered. (found on psfk)
