Microsoft’s latest headquarters in Vienna seems to have been conjured up on similar lines.
Designed by Austrian firm Innocad, the interiors are really cool and have a sense of ‘refreshing joy’ about them. Large part of this seems to be achieved with the colorful motifs and the flooring that is both vivid and visually delightful. Different color patterns have been used for various parts of the building and with features like an indoor slide and a green plant wall, work and a bit of play go hand in hand in here.
The style is uber-futuristic, with sleek lines, well defined spaces and an ultra-minimalistic look that is conveyed throughout, despite the unconventional use of color. A wonderful example of how one can turn to contemporary design without making it bland by repetitively using the same neutral shades of white and gray, the lines on the floor almost make us feel like we are inside one of those chips crafted by the firm.
