In the quest for the grand and the outrageous, we sometimes tend to lose sight of the ordinary and the practical. But it is the simple and the ergonomic that often make the biggest difference as most of us could really use the practical designs and interior styles for our own homes, without worrying too much about the amount of green that we are going to spend for the revamp. The Bonanova Apartment located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain is an example of how sensible style and simple design can revamp an old home into a beautiful and lovely modern structure.
The interiors of the Bonanova Apartment were redone by Spanish architect Marià Castelló Martínez and while it is not ultra-sleek and futuristic in its design, it sure does exude a vibe of minimalism that is combined with savvy interiors which seem to perfectly fit into the scheme of things. The floor has been covered with wood while the walls have been kept pristine white with sharp and well defined edges. It is interesting to see that the architect has used no other shade except white, which moves away from the current trend of using other neutral shades like gray along with the whites.
Elegant and practical, the 2,615 square foot home has taken on a whole new face …
