Making a coiled rope basket sounds like an ideal project for anyone with a bit of leisure time on hand — you can do it with your kids, at night, on a rainy day, or during one of those lazy and laid back weekends. It only requires a bit of creativity that is daftly blended with some skills in needle work and crocheting. However, what it does bring is a whole lot of satisfaction and enthusiasm and you get to brag about your original rope wrapped basket, next time someone from work or a relative visits. And Heather Davidson knows a thing or two about coiled rope baskets and she’s in fact guilty for coming up with this unique idea.
Rope has been our favorite material for DIY project for quite some time now — you can weave them into any shape, not necessarily baskets, and decorate your interiors with unique pieces of décor that are both original and inimitable. You do not require great deal of space or a multitude of resources to create the coiled rope basket. Some thick cotton rope, neon line and needles, will do. Add to it a touch of patience possibly a bit of tacky glue, a wide eye needle and a glue gun and you are all set to create your own version of the DIY project that we stumbled upon.
Keep in mind that to make your basket more attractive, you could use ropes of different colors and grades.
