Country bungalows are always special; they never lose their aristocratic appeal. One such building situated on the Wicklow Hills in Ireland looks induced by the essence of the countryside. Designed by Fiona Simmonds, it resembles a dormer residence of the 70s. The interior design followed here is simple and minimalist, and merges the features of olden times with modernity. Provided with many windows to let fresh air and light of the countryside in, the indoors appear so inviting and relaxing.
The base shade of the walls and ceilings are off-white, which enhances the already existing serene feeling. Arranged beautifully, the living area is enticing with the shelves, photo frames as well as the book shelf finding the perfect slots. Kitchen is quite big and is adorned with modest decorations. My favorite is the kid’s bedroom, which in contrast is lavishly decorated and appears like a crowded space, full of colors and energy. The outdoor seating arrangement is so cool with the simplicity of the furniture and the lamp shades.
Though everything here appears quite simple, a lot of effort has been taken to attain the perfection. So that is a perfect example of a countryside home in Ireland. Already longing for one? (found on ParkdaleAve)
