The legendary Hotel Bel Air situated in Los Angeles underwent an extensive two year renovation following which it opened recently. The duty of interior designing was given to interior designer Alexandra Chapalimaud, who was hired to recreate a new reception and boutique, new lobby lounge, guestrooms and suites. The renovation also included 12 hillside villas along with the spa and guest lofts.
The task of designing the dining venues was assigned to the Rockwell Group, and Chef Wolfgang Puck has been commissioned to oversee all the food and beverage operations for the hotel. Feedback and reviews were continuously taken into consideration from past guests during the renovation process that helped in deciding many of the hotel’s design changes. The exterior facade and signage retain the hotel’s original buildings. The renovation brings in a lot of changes in its design but retains the original, glamorous character of the hotel from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Truly an elegant luxury hotel that gives top-class facilities!
