What was once a church is now a luxurious house in Brisbane, Australia, that is on sale. Dating back to 1867, the Church of Palms has two major upgrades, once into a theatre and now into a house. After being saved from demolition, Willis Greenhalgh Architects took on this amazing project.

The former church is a sumptuous building that now houses three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a mezzanine area with study, a library and media room, a gourmet kitchen, a wine cellar, saltwater swimming pool and beautiful landscaped gardens.

The architects tried to keep the balance between conserving the integrity of the building, the use of contemporary elements and the relationship with its surroundings. The house presents bright colors, beautiful wood flooring, dazzling light fixtures, upscale appliances and simple, yet sophisticated furniture. Another important feature is the terrace where you can relax, near the soothing swimming pool.
