Are you the kind of person that always leaves magazines and newspapers lying around all over the living room? This means that you served as inspiration for creating the Slot Boks.

Featuring simple, modern shape and vivid colours, the Slot Boks was designed by Oslo-based Jenk Design Office. Held together with the help of mitre joints and strengthened with an “L” section, the small bookcase features a slot between the backside and the front. This slot not only gives the name of the bookcase, but it also displays a creative way of organising books: a movable cord can hold your stuff into place by sliding from one end to the other.

The open back bookcase’s cord prevents the contents from slipping out. Two small red balls matching the legs of the bookcase offer a fun twist to the simple design. Do you like it as much as I do?
