Danish furniture brand Republic of Fritz Hansen released a superb sofa designed by Spanish artist Jaime Hayon. Displaying a classy and chic shape, the sofa named FAVN (Danish for “Embrace”) is supposed to have a shell-like exterior with a nice and comfortable seat that embraces whoever sits on it and offers an unequalled seating experience. With its organic features, the sofa brings a fresh design that concentrates on using shape, texture and materials to convey a functional and extrovert design.
The colours used in creating this beautiful sofa match the designer’s take on what a bold piece of furniture should look and feel like. Gathering highlights of Spanish and Danish design under a unique structure, the sofa creates a comfortable nook protected by the hard outside shell. Three different materials were used to differentiate the three components: the shell, seat and back and decorative cushions.
Available in ten gorgeous colours – light grey, sage green, clear beige, taupe, chocolate, moutarde, red, violet, dark blue and black – FAVN Sofa features an outstanding design that looks good from any angle.
