The Buholmen Cottage is a beautiful small residence in Norway, built by architectural practice SKAARA Arkitekter AS. It covers only 100 square feet, but the area is just enough for the beautiful structure that replaces an old shed. The architects added a new outhouse and new pier to make the structure come to life and become the perfect family house. Two separate buildings lie among the strong boulders: one shelters the entertaining areas, while the other one holds the bedrooms. Between these two there is a patio that opens to the south and protects the house from strong winds. An amazing feeling of connection to nature is offered by the pine facade treated with iron-sulphate.
