The Sea Ranch home by Turnbull Griffin Haesloop Architects is a pavillion-like residence between the forest and the sea.
With its uncomplicated and holiday-like appearance, the “understated” and “flowing” house conveys the clients’ love of Japanese simplicity and a comforable and warm Scandinavian feel.
The layout is a vernacular barn with a warm blonde wood facade, opening toward the meadow and the cliff through an octagonal deck.
The interiors are originally furnished and decorated, managing to be both minimalist and rustic, with rich cedar exposed beams for the ceiling, sheetrock walls, modern armchairs, natural carved wood objects.
