The contemporary OM house belongs to an elderly couple in Londrina, Brazil. It is a creation of Studio Guilherme Torres.
The residence consists of 2 big blocks crossing one another, encompassing a vast living area opening through a row of narrow glass panels toward the pool, 3 bedrooms for visiting family and a laundry area. The interior of the house exudes an almost mystical minimalism. Or maybe it’s just the Japanese influenced use of materials, conveying a sensation of peace and balance, elegance and austerity. These effects are created by the dark wood plated, sand colored travertine or rich brown plaster textured walls, the inspired artworks and especially the delicate trees peeking into the house from the white pebble patio.
